🙂 In this amazing 2015 summer, thanks to a generous grant from the Federation of Mountain Club BC, we were able to bring a total of 28 youth to Squamish BC climbing, hiking and all other mega fun explosion over 2 weekend camping trips. For most of the youth, it’s their first time ever camping, sleeping in a tent, rock climbing, picking black-berries from the field, swimming in the ocean, night hiking, etc. Volunteers taught them outdoor cooking, leave no trace, bear safety and other outdoor skills. This is an enlightening experience for both the youth and us. We saw it through our eyes and truly believe outdoor adventures are the best entertainment and tools to build community, relationships, strength and leadership for the future generations. We also learned that kids are way more skilled than us in creating fun, telling stories and laughing non-stop out of nothing at all.

We want to thank you FMCBC for their generous donation to make this program cost-free to all the youth who came from challenging backgrounds.

We also want to thank our volunteers from the Vancouver Rock Climbing Group, who role-model and inspire the youth to be future Rockstars and on how to enjoy and protect nature:
